Generac
The flagship of Generac’s new air-cooled lineup is the industry exclusive 16 kW model with the company’s innovative, patent pending Quiet-Test feature. This breakthrough advance operates the genset at a slower speed during its weekly self-test, making it as quiet as a car at idle. The 16 kW unit is ideally suited for starting a five-ton air conditioner, with power to spare. Just as impressive are the new 10 and 13 kW models, which also boast powerful motor starting capabilities. Operating three-, four- and five-ton air conditioning systems-and additional circuits-is easier than ever with Generac standby power. The new PowerMaster load control system prioritizes a home’s major electrical loads and prevents overloading of the generator. All of the 2007 automatic standby products feature Rhino-Coat, Generac’s new textured paint finish that is durable, long-lasting protection provides consistent coverage and better bonding to seams and edges to resist corrosion. The new model lineup includes liquid-cooled offerings with outputs ranging from 20 to 150 kW, all with sound attenuated enclosures and the Quiet-Test feature. QT gensets are natural gas or LP vapor fueled, so there are none of the fuel spillage, spoilage or odor concerns that are common with diesel models. In addition to being environmentally friendly, QT products are very affordable, making them attractive to a variety of businesses. When compared to the cost of an extended blackout, QT gensets can pay for themselves during the first outage yet provide decades of standby power protection.
