Kwik Trip Inc. has teamed up with DriveCam, a driver risk management company, to reward teens in Minnesota and Wisconsin who are enrolled in the Teen Safe Driver Program (www.teensafedriver.com).
DriveCam developed the Teen Safe Driver Program in conjunction with American Family Insurance to provide the insurance company’s customers a proven approach to help new teen drivers improve their skills on the road. Throughout 2007, enrolled participants who demonstrate safe driving habits will receive a $20 gift card, courtesy of Kwik Trip, that can be used for fuel and other store purchases.
“It’s our pleasure to reward young drivers enrolled in the Teen Safe Driver Program who demonstrate safe driving habits,” said Gary Gonczy, director of marketing for La Crosse, Wisc.-based Kwik Trip. “We are aware of no other program with as much potential to reduce the epidemic of injury and death associated with teen crashes. The Teen Safe Driver Program helps parents mentor young drivers and helps protect them during one of the riskiest times of their life. Parents really need to take a look at this program.”
Enrollees in the Teen Safe Driver Program earn rewards by minimizing the number of “risk points” they accumulate over time. Teens must receive less than five risk points per week to be eligible to earn Kwik Trip gift cards.
