Dallas-based Alon USA Energy Inc., an independent refiner and operator of more than 200 7-Elven convenience stores, said it has selected RBS Lynk, the U.S. payments processing division of The Royal Bank of Scotland Group, as its new credit card processor.
RBS Lynk will manage credit, debit and gift card transactions for Alon’s distributor network of FINA-branded convenience stores including Alon’s wholly owned subsidiary Southwest Convenience Stores, LLC, the largest 7-Eleven licensee in North America. RBS Lynk will process both pay-at-the-pump transactions and in-store card sales.
“In establishing this new relationship, Alon and RBS Lynk have one single focus: to deliver consistent and reliable credit card services to Alon’s customers, helping them to be even more competitive in what can be a very challenging environment,” said Judge Dobrient, general manager for marketing at Alon. “Our mission is to be completely attentive to providing the most effective solution for the distributors and outlets we serve.”
RBS Lynk’s wide range of certifications for point-of-sale equipment, including integrated pay-at-the-pump systems, provides marketers flexibility for future upgrades in services and offerings. Marketers can select dial-up, frame relay or Internet processing, based on the needs of each particular store.
As an RBS Lynk customer, Alon will receive a greater variety of processing solutions with the added benefits of exceptional quality of service, quick settlement and flexible solutions its marketers demand. Alon’s conversion to RBS Lynk is expected to commence in fourth quarter 2007.
