Sheetz Inc., operator of more than 330 convenience stores in six states, has partnered with Capital One to test an innovative new program that provides debit card customers with rewards similar to those available to credit customers.
The new Sheetz Debitz card links to a customer’s current checking account, regardless of the bank they use, and allows them to earn rewards in a way that’s never been done before. The rewards are based on purchases made at Sheetz and anywhere else that MasterCard is accepted.
Customers will earn bonus points on all purchases made at Sheetz. These rewards will be given in the form of Sheetz Gift Cards that can then be used to make future purchases in any Sheetz store. The debit card works like a standard debit MasterCard in stores, online or at ATM’s.
“We pride ourselves on making our stores as convenient as possible for our customers and we’re pleased to join Capital One in this partnership to bring another great service to people who shop at Sheetz,” said Louie Sheetz, executive vice president of marketing, Sheetz. “The new Sheetz Debitz card is a way customers can make their money go farther by earning valuable rewards that can be used for food, gas or anything else they need at all Sheetz locations.”
