Tulsa, Okla.-based QuikTrip will open a store in Sprint Center as part of a multi-year partnership with the Kansas City arena, built to host sports and entertainment events.
The arrangement “will be among the first of its kind in an arena, stadium or entertainment venue,” according to a statement from both companies.
The store will offer many of the same products and prices as QuikTrip’s 73 area convenience stores. The company operates a total of 479 stores in nine states.
“We are proud to partner with Sprint Center,” Jim Denny, QuikTrip’s vice president of marketing, said in the release. “Sprint Center is the cornerstone of downtown Kansas City development and is a catalyst for the region.”
The store’s offerings will include fresh-baked goods, sandwiches and salads made at the QuikTrip Kitchen in Belton, Mo., which opened Sept. 1.
QuikTrip also will promote arena events at its area stores.
