The Hardy Flower Co. has spent 2007 in the growing process. The company has ramped up its Hardy Flowers retail outlets from six to 24 during the past twelve months. The company’s flowers are featured in c-stores in Eastern Massachusetts, including the Boston area, the North Shore, the Fall River area and on the South Coast and Cape Cod.
“We couldn’t have done it if we hadn’t matured the product line and built a framework for the program. It’s a business that’s working well because it works; its easy, stress-free and fun to build a clientele for great flowers,” said Tom Hardy, president. “This is not all about an impulse buy anymore. People go to these stores to buy their everyday flowers.”
Hardy revealed that the company has two sites each now in Newburyport, Marblehead, Saugus and Fall River, Mass., and it’s celebrating its fourth year in Fall River stores and the third for Osterville.
Hardy Flowers Co. created a leadership team made up of five c-Store owners and managers who are helping shape the product line and services it provides as it grows, according to Hardy.
“These are smart business people who know what it takes to build a successful brand and meet their customer needs,” added Hardy. “They see value in Hardy Flowers and want to help promote the program and bring in additional sites. With more sites everyone benefits.”
The Hardy Flowers leadership group is represented by C-Stores in Belmont,Marblehead, Mattapoisett, Saugus and West Harwich, Mass; including Tedeschi FoodShops, 7-Eleven and White Hen Pantry.
