Pink tags will be on display throughout The Kroger Co.’s stores again this year as the retailer partners with vendors and suppliers to support National Breast Cancer Awareness month in October.
Beginning this weekend, pink tags can be found on shelves in Kroger stores across the country to identify participating products customers can purchase to support breast cancer awareness in their community. Several of Kroger’s vendor partners have created special packaging to support the campaign. In addition, six Kroger employees who are breast cancer survivors will share their experiences on specially marked Kellogg products.
Along with a list of products from contributing vendors, many of Kroger’s own corporate brand items, including several products under its exclusive Private Selection line, will also have pink tags.
Kroger have committed to raise $2.5 million during the campaign to support breast cancer research and awareness in communities across the country where Kroger customers and associates live and work.”This cause is important to our customers and associates and we are honored to do our part to provide support to help educate women about early detection, diagnosis and treatment,” said David B. Dillon, Kroger chairman and chief executive officer.
