Odessa, Texas-based Southwest Convenience Stores LLC, the largest 7-Eleven licensee in the U.S., and the United Service Organizations (USO) have partnered to begin a new fundraising program. Throughout November, participating 7-Eleven stores in New Mexico and Texas will offer customers an opportunity to show their support for American
troops by making a one-dollar donation to the USO and signing a specially-designed flag to be hung in the store.
“We thank the USO for the work they perform everyday for our military members and their families,” said John West, director of sales and marketing for Southwest Convenience Stores, a division of Alon USA. “We hope our efforts will help the troops and their families through the many outstanding programs the USO provides.”
The USO currently operates more than 130 centers worldwide, eight of which are located in Texas. Each center provides morale-boosting programs and services to troops and their families. As a nonprofit organization, the USO relies on the generosity of the American public to support its vital work. To donate to the USO, visit www.uso.org/donate.
