The Rutter’s companies has donated $120,000 to the YMCA of York and York County to provide scholarships for children who have disabilities or are from lower-income families.
Rutter’s will serve as the major sponsor for a partnership called “With Rutter’s, All Kids Count!” that will serve children ages 3 to 6.
“We are privileged to be the recipients of the Rutter’s investment to expand this preschool initiative,” said Larry Richardson, the YMCA’s president and CEO. “It is an exciting time as we work together to impact all kids who wish to access a quality preschool program, preparing them for success in school.”
Rutter’s contribution will provide much-needed funding for the next four years.
“Rutter’s is proud to continue and expand its ongoing relationship with the YMCA of York and York County ,” said Scott Hartman, president and CEO of Rutter’s Farm Stores. “The ability to give these children with disabilities and others a head start on their education and life skills is very rewarding, and we’re honored to help expand the reach of the YMCA’s preschool program.”
