TravelCenters of America LLC (TOA) has acquired its 235th travel center location in Morris, Illinois. Formerly the Romine’s Truck Stop, the 39 acre site is branded TA and is located along I-80.

At the new Morris location, customers can enjoy a meal at the 250 seat “R” Place restaurant, one of the largest and busiest restaurants in the travel center industry. “R” Place is famous for its “made from scratch cooking”, large variety of specialty dishes, seasonal decor and in-house bakery. Center manger Kathie Romines and her entire crew have been retained by TOA. There is also a 30-seat quick-service food court that features a Quiznos Subs restaurant.

In addition, the center features a 2,000 sq. ft. convenience store open 24 hours that offers a wide selection of competitively-priced products, snacks and brand name beverages.

Professional drivers will find that TOA Morris conveniences include seven diesel lanes, a 200 space truck parking area and certified weigh scales. Driver amenities also include a lounge area, a game room, a laundry room, and five showers. It also features BP-branded gasoline and diesel for cars and RVs with five motorist fueling positions and 143 parking spaces.

Within a short time, TOA plans to upgrade the Morris location with a number of signature TA services such as CafeExpress, Pronto Pay and WiFi service.
