Mister Car Wash has acquired the Car Wash Headquarters chain, adding eight stores in Tampa, Fla., Birmingham, Ala., and Mesquite, Texas under its widening umbrella. Financial terms were not disclosed.
The company believes the latest acquisition makes Mister Car Wash the second largest carwash chain in the United States, with 50 carwashes, 17 lube shops and three convenience stores across seven states, according to Modern Car Care Online.
“Car Wash Headquarters diversifies our portfolio nicely by expanding our geographic footprint” said Mike Hogan, vice president of operations for Mister Car Wash. “This is a fantastic acquisition for us; [Car Wash Headquarters has] done a tremendous job in building their business and executing at the store level.”
“There’s a lot of synergy between our two organizations,” added Ron Peterson, Mister Car Wash CEO. “Fundamentally, Car Wash Headquarters has established a solid platform with good people at the helm and a core base of business. Expanding into these new markets gives us the platform for future expansion in each region.”
