ConocoPhillips Co. awarded more than $45,000 in scholarships and prizes to talented college students competing in the My 76 Video contest.
Entrants created original video commercials for the 76 gasoline brand. The top three entries were awarded scholarships worth $20,000, $10,000 and $5,000, to be used for educational purposes at an accredited college, university or film school. Grand prize was awarded to Tim Milgram, University of California, Santa Barbara. First prize went to Chris Yi, UCLA, and Johnny Gill, University of California, San Diego, won second prize.
Twenty runners up won 76 brand gasoline certificates valued at $500. Students from West Coast universities submitted entries and a panel of qualified judges selected the winners.
The public was invited to vote for their favorite video entries for “The People Have Spoken Award” and enter to win one of four $500 76 brand gasoline certificates. Adan Vielma, Lewis & Clark College, won “The People Have Spoken Award” and will receive free gas for a year.
Winning videos may be made into 30-second television commercials to air on FOX Sports Net television or other major networks. To see all of the videos, visit www.my76video.com.
