Kum & Go, L.C., one of the nation’s leading convenience store chains, is proud to announce that Kevin Krause has joined the Iowa-based, family-owned company as its new senior vice president of marketing.

Krause has been involved with the Kum & Go organization for 20 years as a director and has extensive store operations experience. As senior vice president of marketing, Krause plans to build customer count, increase the average transaction and improve margins through his responsibilities in merchandising, marketing, branding, advertising, public relations and internal communications with the more than 3,600 Kum & Go associates.

“Kevin brings a wealth of experience to the position, including a strong knowledge of Kum & Go store operations, an attitude of leadership and an energy that will push our marketing department to the next level,” said Kyle Krause, who is president and CEO of Kum & Go and Kevin’s brother. “He will provide direction and guidance as we work to become the No. 1 convenient retailer.”

Krause most recently served as owner and president of the Swing of the Quad Cities, a minor league baseball team based in Davenport, Iowa, for 10 years. Previously, he spent seven years with Liberty Bank serving as bank president in Mason City, Iowa, and marketing director at the corporate headquarters in West Des Moines. Krause holds a bachelor’s of science and law degrees from the University of Iowa.
“I started working at Kum & Go when I was in fifth grade, so it’s quite fitting that my career has come full-circle and that I’m back helping to grow my family’s company,” Krause said. “I’m excited about taking on this new opportunity and look forward to the accomplishments ahead.”
