Gas Station TV has whittled its pool of contestants to 10 in the ongoing hunt for a new face to anchor GSTV Network’s lifestyle segment, the company said.
“We are blown away with the extremely talented, diverse group of individuals competing in this contest,” said David Leider, CEO of GSTV. “As advertising media evolve, from network TV to YouTube to the rise of digital out-of-home, this contest further solidifies that GSTV is a dominant force in driving consumer action. The overwhelmingly positive response to our digital and social media BroadcaSTAR campaign proves consumers desire a high level of interactivity with brands.”
Five of the finalists vying to anchor GSTV’s BroadcaSTAR lifestyle segment are from California, while the remaining five are from New York, Michigan, Connecticut, Ohio and New Jersey. The general public can vote for the finalists at www.beabroadcaSTAR.com up until June 30.
The recent contest period that secured the final 10 contestants pulled in nearly 300 videos and more than 70,000 page views online. The winning BroadcaSTAR finalist will be featured on the recurring national broadcast lifestyle segment on GSTV network, and they’ll also receive a $2,500 cash prize.
GSTV is featured on more than 5,000 pump-top televisions at gas stations in more than 400 U.S. cities.
