Dunkin’ Donuts chose three of its store employees as finalists in a company-wide contest to design the 2008 holiday-themed rechargeable Dunkin’ Donuts Card, the company said.
Dunkin’ Donuts is allowing customers to vote for one of three final "Deck the Halls with Dunkin” designs at www.dunkindonuts.com. Online voting takes place July 1 to 15, with the winning Dunkin’ Donuts employee receiving a $2,500 cash prize and a $2,500 donation to the Dunkin’ Brands Community Foundation-supported charity of his or her choosing.
The three card design finalists are Jessica Boyle, of Hopatcoog, N.J.; Joseph Linnane, of Niagara Falls, N.Y.; and Donna Murray, of Abington, Mass. They were chosen from entries submitted by Dunkin’ Donuts store employees throughout the country.
The winning design will be featured on the holiday Dunkin’ Donuts rechargeable card, which will be available for purchase in stores and online at www.DunkinDonuts.com beginning Nov. 15. For every holiday gift card purchased during the month of December, Dunkin’ Donuts will donate $1 to the Dunkin’ Brands Community Foundation, at a maximum of $10,000.
The holiday card and the standard rechargeable Dunkin’ Donuts Cards are available in denominations between $5 and $200. The cards have no additional fees or expiration dates, and if they’re registered online the company will replace them free of charge if they’re lost or stolen.
The card can also be registered for auto-recharge, which automatically adds money to the card on a specific day or when the balance drops below a certain level.
The Dunkin’ Brands Community Foundation unites a wide network of stakeholders, including the Dunkin’ Donuts and Baskin-Robbins franchisees, crewmembers and employees, to support the service and leadership of emergency response organizations, especially in times of crisis. The Foundation supports emergency responders by providing financial assistance, building capacity, developing partnerships, encouraging volunteerism and honoring local heroes.
