Deli Express, the nation’s largest supplier of hot and cold sandwiches sold through convenience stores, was recognized with the 2007 Vendor Partnership Award from the Army & Air Force Exchange Service (AAFES).
The AAFES award recognized Deli Express for its outstanding service to AAFES through continued sales growth and effective promotions and programs.
AAFES provides products and services to military families worldwide, while Deli Express’ hot and cold sandwiches, bakery items and other food goods are sold at AAFES Shoppettes (on-base convenience stores) domestically and overseas.
"We are honored to be recognized by AAFES with its 2007 Vendor Partnership Award," said Tom H. Sween, President of Deli Express. "Deli Express takes great pride in providing high quality products and service to our customers in an effort to help them achieve greater sales, and we appreciate that our efforts have made a difference."
AAFES sales of Deli Express food items were up 44% in 2007 over 2006. Today AAFES is Deli Express’ third largest retail customer.
Deli Express, founded in 1955, supplies sandwiches to more than 26,000 convenience stores, drug stores, vending machines, and other grocery outlets across the country.
