Sheetz Inc. has opened a new store in High Point, N.C., just outside the Greensboro market, the company said. It’s the 18th Sheetz store in that state.
As part of the grand opening festivities, the company made a donation to the Miracle League of High Point, which the organization will use to help develop a new baseball field that will mainly be used by special needs children.
“We are thrilled to be a part of the High Point community and be a part of the events that are important to them,” said Louie Sheetz, executive vice president of marketing at Sheetz. “Sheetz has a long tradition of being involved in youth-centered activities, so today we are happy to make a commitment to support the children of this community.”
For more than 20 years Sheetz has offered customers an extensive menu of MTO subs, sandwiches and salads. The new High Point store features cold and toasted subs, a variety of salads, as well as French fries, onion rings, chicken fingers, burgers and much more, all made fresh to order.
The store will also feature Sheetz Bros. Coffeez, a full-service espresso and smoothie bar staffed by a trained barista. Customers can order hand-made specialty coffee drinks including lattes, cappuccinos and mochas, including hot, frozen or iced versions.
Frozen fruit smoothies round out the store’s specialty drink menu. For those who prefer to pour their own, Sheetz also offers premium brewed self-serve coffees made from 100% Arabica beans in a variety of flavors such as Breakfast Blend, Serious Dark Roast, 100% Colombian and Hazelnut.
As with any Sheetz, customers can place their food and specialty coffee orders at touch-screen order kiosks, while a surcharge-free ATM and a variety of retailer gift and phone cards are also available.
The chain’s Total Customer Focus (“TCF”) approach to c-store retail has been at the heart of the family owned and operated business since it’s founding in 1952.
“We look for great, high-energy people to work in our stores, and we train them to be respectful of the needs of our customers,” Sheetz said. “We look forward to being part of the lives of the people of High Point and providing them with excellent customer service.“
