Hot Stuff Foods landed top honors in the newest category at the 2008 Packaging Awards ceremony in New Orleans, sponsored by the Foodservice Packaging Institute.
Hot Stuff Foods’ new Big Stuff Crowd Pleaser Pizza container captured first place in the newly created category called “The Wow! Factor.”
FPI said “The Wow! Factor” award honors foodservice packaging that increases sales because it makes consumers say, “Wow!”
The packaging, says FPI, should be creative and designed to get consumers’ attention, as well as marry good physical design, great graphics, and use technological enhancements where possible.
Hot Stuff CEO John Fontana accepted the award at a dinner reception and awards ceremony held at Windsor Court Hotel in New Orleans.
“I accept this award on behalf of the entire Hot Stuff Foods team and our innovative supply and design partners,” Fontana said. “To receive the highest honor in ‘The Wow! Factor’ category supports our objective to achieve ‘Wow!’ in every dimension that we provide our franchisees. From appearance to taste and quality to innovative marketing and franchise support, our goal is to get both our franchisees and their customers to say, ‘Wow!’”
“It’s official,” said Neal Hollingsworth, Hot Stuff’s executive vice president of marketing. “Now both the packaging and our delicious 52-inch Big Stuff Crowd Pleaser Pizza inside the box are generating an award-winning response: Wow!”
