Des-Moines, Iowa-based Seneca Companies has recently been granted a Safety Award from the Iowa-Illinois Safety Council for outstanding achievement in accident prevention during 2008.
Seneca Companies was one of only 159 businesses, industries and government agencies in this two state region to receive an award for promoting active safety programs and reducing OSHA recordable injuries among their employees.
The company has multiple divisions to handle Petroleum construction, remodels and service, as well as environmental clean-up, remediation, and the use of potentially dangerous machinery for industrial cleaning, hydroblasting, emergency spill response. Each of these divisions undergoes rigorous training to satisfy the client’s need for timely response and professionalism, while reducing risk and maintaining safety standards on their site.
“We have gone to great lengths to train our employees on proper safety procedures to ensure the protection of our employees, our clients, and the facilities in which we work,” Human Resources Director Matt Puffer said in a press release. “We’re proud to be recognized for these efforts and our clients have taken note of this by selecting Seneca Companies for upcoming jobs.”
The Iowa-Illinois Safety Council is a Chapter of the National Safety Council, dedicated to protecting life, educating society, health and environmental practices.
