Kretek International Inc., exclusive importer of Djarum brand tobacco products, has introduced new Djarum Filtered Clove Cigars, available in four styles–Classic Black, Vanilla Black, Cherry Black and Special Box. Three of the styles will carry the popular Black brand name with its distinctive red triangle and black package. Djarum Filtered Clove Cigars are packaged in 12-pack flip top boxes and shipped to retailers in cartons of 10 packs.  The cigar-sized stick and 12-count pack size were developed in response to stated consumer preference for a clove that delivered a longer lasting smoke, with the same clove aroma and taste found in Djarum clove cigarettes.  The new clove cigars are noticeably larger than a cigarette with a loose weight of more than 3 pounds per thousand.  The new product meets the cigar standards of the Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau for category content and packaging.
