Hot Stuff Foods is meeting the growing demand for on-the go foodservice that also satisfies ’round-the-clock’ breakfast and Hispanic taste trends. The company has announced the launch of two new Chorizo products–an eight-inch taco and a 10-inch burrito. Both items are stuffed with traditional Chorizo sausage, scrambled eggs, bacon, and Jalapeno Salsa – all wrapped up in a soft warm flour tortilla. Jalapeno cheese sauce is added to the burrito to complement the other delicious flavors, while the new Chorizo taco is topped with Shredded cheddar cheese.
“We are very excited to kick off the New Year with the launch of two new menu items that are on the cutting edge of 2010 taste trends,” said Craig Van Hyfte, vice president of marketing for Hot Stuff Foods.
The new Chorizo sausage and egg taco and burrito is also timely, according to The National Restaurant Association, which said this combination is the No. 1 breakfast/brunch trend for 2010.
“Of even greater importance than the research,” noted Van Hyfte, “is the response we’ve been getting from the customers of our franchise partners. Our taste tests have been overwhelmingly positive with both Anglo and Hispanic consumers. Several of our franchisees have taken this taste trend a step further and are expanding their pizza menu by including the ingredients in a new Chorizo sausage egg breakfast pizza.”
Suggested retail for the new Chorizo items according to Van Hyfte are $1.59 for the taco or two for $3.00 and $1.99 for the burrito. In addition, the new Hot Stuff Foods Chorizo Marketing Kit is free with a minimum initial order.
Hot Stuff franchises and licenses its branded food concepts in over 1,200 locations throughout the US, Canada, Europe and Asia, and offers Lettieri’s Food To Go through distributors across the U.S.
