Kum & Go L.C., has acquired two Sinclair fuel stations-one in Boulder, Colo., and one in Omaha, Neb.
This marks Kum & Go’s first store in Boulder and its 19th store in the Omaha area.
“The company is ecstatic to open our first store in Boulder,” said Kyle Krause, president and CEO of Kum & Go, which operates more than 430 c-stores in 11 states. He added the chain is also excited to continue its growth within the Omaha community. “As with all of our stores, we will strive for friendly service and a positive shopping environment in these stores for our new customers,” he said.
The interior of the Boulder store and external structure will remain the same, but officially the name will change to Kum & Go on April 15. By the end of April 2010 the store will be branded Kum & Go with existing equipment onsite. The company has a long history of environmental responsibility and this new store, located at 2375 Canyon Blvd, will implement all possible environmental efficiencies.
The Omaha site, located at 8242 Maple Street, has already begun its transition from Sinclair to Kum & Go. The planned changes include an expanded food and fountain offering and an updated interior and exterior, including new signage. Additionally, the company plans to install Card Reader In Dispenser (CRIND) and debit capability on all new pumps. All changes are to be completed by the end of April 2010. The store will continue to uphold the environmental values of the company with E85 pumps and energy efficient measures inside the store.
