Kum & Go L.C., received the 2010 Organization Give Award at the 2010 LIVE UNITED Recognition Luncheon.
Kum & Go has been an active participant in the United Way of Central Iowa’s annual fundraising campaigns.
“We were very excited and honored to receive the 2010 Organization Give Award from the United Way of Central Iowa today,” said Kyle Krause, Kum & Go president and CEO. “As a company our goal is to give back at least 10% of our profits to the communities that we serve. Our associates have always pulled together to make a difference in their community. We continue to support the mission of the United Way and their great efforts to positively affect lives.”
Kum & Go was a United Way Pacesetter for the first time last year. The company raised almost $140,000 in donations during 2009 through internal pledges, payroll deductions, events, drawings, associate-related activities and company match.
United Way Pacesetters are those companies who worked toward the 2009-2010 community campaign goal before the actual kickoff. Pacesetters set the fundraising pace and each company, regardless of its size, plays an equally important role in helping United Way achieve its annual campaign goal. Kum & Go was one of 14 Pacesetter organizations.
