Fran Duskiewicz, the senior executive vice president at Nice N Easy Grocery Shoppes and a 25-year veteran employee of the company, has been honored twice by the convenience store industry this past month.

Duskiewicz, who has been a member of the National Association of Convenience Stores (NACS) Research Committee for five years, has now been welcomed into the role of vice chairman of that Committee. He has also served as co-chairman of the State of the Industry Summit Conference for the past four years and will retain that chairmanship.

Most recently, Duskiewicz was selected to be a member of a think tank for the convenience store industry co-sponsored by NACS and Coca-Cola called the NACS/Coca-Cola Research Council. Based on his early participation with the council, Duskiewicz has been selected as their chairman as well.  Check out p. 14 of CSD‘s October issue for more information on the NACS/Coca-Cola Research Council.

Canastota, N.Y.-based Nice N Easy Grocery Shoppes operates more than 80 stores throughout New York State.  The chain is observing its 30th Anniversary this year and was CSD‘s 2009-2010 Chain of the Year.
