Tri-State Petroleum Goes Pink for a Day

Tri-State Petroleum Corporation, a family-owned convenience store operator and wholesale distributor of motor fuels in Ohio, West Virginia and Pennsylvania, is going pink for a day to raise money for breast cancer awareness. The company has encouraged employees at its 50-plus locations to wear pink on Oct. 29 in support of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Employees will collect donations to benefit the American Cancer Society, and Tri-State Petroleum will provide a dollar-for-dollar match (up to $2,500).

“Almost everyone has been affected by cancer in some way, whether they have fought the disease, know a survivor, or tragically lost a relative or friend,” said Sam Covelli, director of retail operations, Tri-State Petroleum. “When our employees came to us with the idea of going pink for a day, we could not think of a better cause. We are delighted to support this important endeavor, to raise awareness, and to assist in collecting dollars for important research and prevention.”

The American Cancer Society is a nationwide, community-based voluntary health organization dedicated to eliminating cancer as a major health problem. Together with millions of supporters, the American Cancer Society works to save lives and create a world with less cancer by helping people get well, helping people stay well, and by finding a cure.

Founded in 1974, Tri-State Petroleum operates convenience stores and services branded accounts and commercial and industrial accounts.
