Love’s plans to spend $230 million making enhancements to current locations and building new sites.
Love’s Travel Stops & Country Stores, a national operator of travel centers and convenience stores based in Oklahoma City, has planned capital expenditures of $230 million for calendar year 2011.
The majority of this amount, $180 million, is scheduled to be spent on new construction. More than 20 new travel stop locations are set to open this year, from Napavine, Wash., to Emerson, Ga.
Additionally, more than $50 million of the funds are allotted for enhancements at existing Love’s Travel Stop locations. Slated improvements include adding more than 50 Love’s Truck Tire Care centers to current locations, parking lot expansions, re-imaging of restaurants and remodeling restrooms.
“Love’s is committed to providing the best possible facilities and services that matter to the driving public,” said Tom Love, Love’s chairman and CEO. “We have listened to customer feedback when designing these improvements, which will make our travel stops more appealing and convenient.”
Love’s Travel Stops & Country Stores operates more than 265 locations in 39 states.
