Customers line up to be one of the first 50 people in line for a chance at thousands of prizes.
Altoona, Pa.-based Sheetz Inc. continues to grow south of Cleveland as it opens a new store in Parma, Ohio, on Aug. 25, at 6767 Ridge Road.
Doors to the 6,500 square foot store officially will open to customers at 11 a.m. Thursday, but contestants vying to be one of the first 50 in line will start lining up much earlier than that. These lucky Sheetz fans will win a $100 Sheetz Z-card and be among the first to enjoy the new Sheetz experience. Other Sheetz stores recently opened saw customers camped out for 12 hours or more in the excitement to win. Customers can play games to win prizes and enjoy samples of Sheetz food and beverages.
“It is always exciting for us to expand into a new area,” said Stan Sheetz, president and CEO of Sheetz Inc., which operates more than 400 locations throughout Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Maryland, Virginia, Ohio and North Carolina “The Greater Cleveland market is wonderful and we are thrilled to begin serving the people of Parma.”
Sheetz is also proud of its tradition of giving back to the communities in which it operates. Especially important to the organization is finding ways to be involved with today’s young people. As part of the grand opening, the company will make a donation to Special Olympics Ohio. Sheetz has been a proud supporter of Special Olympics since 1992, making monetary and product contributions as well as providing event volunteers.
“Special Olympics has been something meaningful to everyone at Sheetz for 20 years. The relationship we have with the athletes, coaches and volunteers is one we respect and value and want to see continue to grow. We will do as much as we can to make the athlete experience memorable for them,” added Sheetz.
Sheetz will offer customers fresh food items like the MTGo! and Shweetz Bakery lines of sandwiches, wraps, donuts and muffins, along with the signature MTO line of Angus beef burgers, premium grilled chicken sandwiches, freshly made salads, French fries, onion rings and more.
Sheetz Bros. Coffeez, a full-service espresso and smoothie bar staffed by a trained barista is going to be available at the new store as well. Customers can order hand-made specialty coffee drinks including lattes, cappuccinos and mochas – hot, frozen or iced. Frozen fruit smoothies round out this popular specialty drink menu. For those who prefer to pour their own, Sheetz offers premium brewed self-serve coffees made from 100% Arabica beans in a variety of flavors such as Breakfast Blend, Serious Dark Roast, 100 percent Colombian and Hazelnut.
As always, customers will place their food and specialty coffee orders at touch-screen order kiosks. A surcharge-free ATM and variety of retailer gift and phone cards will be available to customers as well. The new store will also have a car wash on the lot.
