President Leo Vercollone accepts award during Nov. 3 ceremony.
Duxbury, Mass.-based VERC Enterprises, a convenience store and Mobil/Gulf gasoline operator with 24 locations throughout eastern Massachusetts and New Hampshire, has been named by the Boston Globe as a recipient of its 2011 Top Places to Work award.
VERC Enterprises was recognized as one of 100 companies in Massachusetts that offer the most rewarding work experiences based on a survey taken by its employees this past summer. The company was acknowledged during a Nov. 3 awards ceremony held at the Renaissance Boston Waterfront Hotel.
Earlier this year, VERC Enterprises received a “Best Places to Work” award from the Boston Business Journal and in October was recognized by the Boston Business Journal as a Leader in Diversity for its commitment to hiring those with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities.
“We’re honored to be a recipient of this prestigious award from the Boston Globe and proud that we have created the type of working environment that is worthy of our being named a best place to work,” said Leo Vercollone, president of VERC Enterprises.
