We are pleased to be making a financial commitment through our national foundation to a cause that continues to impact the lives of so many families,” says Gulf spokesperson.
Gulf Oil LP is adding a pink ribbon to its orange disk logo at six major league baseball parks across the U.S., to show its support for the fight against breast cancer.
Starting this May, the pink ribbon will be wrapped around the logo at the Atlanta Braves’ Turner Field, Baltimore Orioles’ Camden Yards, Boston Red Sox’s Fenway Park, Philadelphia Phillies’ Citizens Bank Park, St. Louis Cardinals’ Busch Stadium and Texas Rangers Ballpark in Arlington. The logo will stay on for a month at the Fenway Park stadium, and for the whole season at the other five locations.
“We are proud to deepen our relationship as strong supporters of breast cancer research and awareness,” said Rick Dery, senior vice president and chief of sales and marketing officer at Gulf. “This month, as we celebrate Mother’s Day, is a perfect time to add the highly recognized ‘pink ribbon’ to our logo. We are pleased to be making a financial commitment through our national foundation to a cause that continues to impact the lives of so many families.”
Gulf also announced it would donate 400 tickets to Red Sox home games this May to the American Cancer Society’s “Making Strides Against Breast Cancer” campaign and to its Hope Lodge Center in Boston.
Gulf Oil distributes motor fuels through a network of more than 2,500 branded gasoline retail centers, 12 oil terminals and 130 other supply points.
