Bit9 and Kwik Trip are offering a Webcast to help retailers better protect their businesses from breaches.
Some 85% of the breaches that occurred in 2011 involved POS terminals and servers, according to a 2012 Verizon Data Breach Investigation Report.
Retailers understand the growing challenges they face in securing their POS systems, but many remain unable to adequately protect their systems due to a continued reliance on legacy antivirus solutions, aging hardware and unsupported software environments, noted Bit9.
The Webcast, titled: “Protecting POS Systems: Kwik Trip Inc. shares their experience,” is scheduled for Wednesday, June 13, 2012 at 2 p.m. EST. During the event, Bruce Snyder and Jason Speropulos from the IT Retail Systems team at Kwik Trip Inc. are set to share their experiences and Chris Strand, systems consultant and compliance specialist from Bit9 plans to share best practices in achieving a secure POS infrastructure.
Wecast attendees will learn how to:
• Prevent targeted cyber attacks and Advanced Persistent Threats (APTs)
• Protect valuable cardholder data and corporate IP
• Maintain the PCI DSS compliance of your systems throughout the year
• Establish a clear level of trust for all software in your enterprise
