John West, vice president of marketing, said Alon Brands is “honored” to support military family members in a new community project.
Alon Brands, Dallas-based supplier and marketer of fuels and the largest licensee of 7-Eleven in North America, announced its support of the new Marine Recovery Fund (MRF).
MRF aims to support both service personnel and the family members of service men and women who were injured in active duty. Alon Brands, along with other individuals and organizations across Texas, helped funds expand. John West, vice president of marketing for Alon Brands, said his company likes to assist in the MRF’s community cause.
“Parents, grandparents, children and friends of injured soldiers know the steep climb that must be made during what can be a very long and difficult recovery,” West said. “We’re pleased that our convenience stores in Texas and New Mexico can play a meaningful role in this important effort.”
MillerCoors created a program to support the MRF. Customers contribute 50 cents to the MRF for each case of Miller Lite 18-pack of cans or bottles, or a 9-pack of aluminum pints they buy at participating retail outlets through July 31. 302 Alon and Fina/7-Eleven stores support this particular initiative.
Alon Brands Retail is the leading retailer in support of the MRF. The company operates more than 300 Alon and Fina branded 7-Eleven convenience stores in West Texas and New Mexico.
