Convenience store chain ampm, has been named the official retail convenience store sponsor of the 2012 Los Angeles Alianza de Futbol events.
“It’s exciting to be able to support Hispanic soccer with this sponsorship opportunity,” said Donna Sanker, ampm vice president of marketing. “ARCO’s ampm is proud to support the next generation of soccer superstars, and to assist with new uniforms for children, and transportation for players to and from the events.”
Attendees at the main event will be looking for the ampm Alianza de Futbol sign where they can grab a scratcher card, and could win ampm food and drinks, $25 ampm gift cards, a $250 ampm gift card and a 40-inch LCD TV.
Preliminary events were held on May 12-13 at Fremont Intermediate School, Oxnard, Calif., and on May 26-27 at Haskell Middle School, Norwalk, Calif. The Main Showcase Event takes place on July 28-29 and Aug. 4-5 at the San Bernardino Soccer Complex in Highland, Calif.
Soccer fans should listen up for radio advertising spots scheduled to air on Spanish language radio stations, as well as print advertising in Los Angeles area newspapers, now and in the coming weeks.
Alianza de Futbol is the United States’ foremost Hispanic soccer association, and specializes in scouting, sustaining and advancing amateur players to the next level in their sporting careers.
Arco co-branded ampm stores are currently found in California, Nevada, Oregon, Washington and Arizona; BP co-branded ampm stores are located in Chicago, Orlando, Cleveland, Cincinnati and Atlanta.
