Kangaroo Express promotes its foodservice by handing out free hot dogs on National Hot Dog Day.
The Pantry Inc. celebrates National Hot Dog Day this upcoming Monday, July 23, by offering a free hot dog to every guest at its 1,160 grill-ready Kangaroo Express c-stores.
The Kangaroo Express invites customers to stop by participating stores between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. to pick up a free Ball Park hotdog. Paired with a Roo Cup refill, guests can pick up a dog and a drink for only $0.25.
“National Hot Dog Day is a holiday that all Americans can support, whether it’s about their love for the hot dog itself or about the pride and patriotism that it represents,” said John Fisher, senior vice president of marketing, merchandising and restaurant operations at Kangaroo express. “What better way is there to celebrate than to show our customers and our military that we care about them?”
The c-store also wants to encourage customers to donate to its fundraiser with the Salute Our Troops campaign. The fundraiser runs through Labor Day, and goes to lifting the spirits of the American troops, the USO and the Wounded Warriors Project. Last year, the campaign raised $2.5 million dollars, breaking fundraising records for many beneficiary organizations.
The Pantry Inc. is based in Cary, N.C., and operates 1,607 stores in thirteen states under select banners, including Kangaroo Express as its primary banner.
