As the official power supplier to Fenway Park, Gulf extends its service to residential and commercial customers across the Commonwealth.
Gulf Oil’s Gulf Electricity services, which were first made available in Connecticut and Maine earlier this year, are now available to Massachusetts residential and commercial customers.
The expansion of Gulf Electricity into Massachusetts is part of the company’s ongoing strategy to diversify its energy offerings and provide the marketplace with cost-effective, efficient energy options.
As of Oct. 1, Gulf Electricity is providing Massachusetts residential and small business customers the opportunity to enjoy savings on the energy portion of their power bills by switching from their traditional utility suppliers. Compared to high-cost third party suppliers, the savings could be significant.
“Many people in Massachusetts know Gulf Electricity as the company that powers Fenway Park and serves Massachusetts through our branded service stations,” said Gulf Oil’s Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer Rick Dery. “We’re excited to move beyond the Green Monster to all corners of the state, and look forward to helping people save money every month on their electric bills.”
Switching to Gulf Electricity is fast and easy. Customers will continue to receive their bills from their current utility, which will also continue to handle power delivery and repair services. The process takes less than five minutes and can be done by visiting www.gulfelectricity.com or by calling Gulf Electricity toll-free at (855) 485-3353. The Website includes a Savings Calculator that will help customers determine the annual savings they can expect by switching to Gulf. As part of Gulf Electricity’s entry into the Massachusetts marketplace, customers who switch before the end of the year will also be eligible to win free electricity for a year.
”More than one million customers pass through a facility supplied or branded by Gulf every day and we look forward to providing yet another valuable service to them. Gulf’s brand name has created trust for over 110 years. When customers sign up to receive Gulf Electricity, they are signing on with a century old reliable company committed to providing excellent customer service and competitive rates,” Dery continued.
“Gulf’s move into the electricity marketplace is a natural complement to our existing businesses. There is no change in power quality or reliability with Gulf Electricity, our expertise in sourcing and distributing energy efficiently enables us to give consumers the opportunity to receive savings from a respected and trusted supplier,” said Gulf Oil President Ron Sabia.
“The energy world is changing rapidly and while petroleum will be a big part of our energy mix for years to come, as a company we remain committed to bringing our customers low cost energy alternatives that are safe, convenient and environmentally responsible,” explained Sabia.
In Massachusetts, Gulf Electricity is available in areas serviced by NSTAR, National Grid and Western Mass Electric.
