Aggressive expansion of sales team to serve growing client base across the country.

Acumera, a provider of trusted connection services for convenience stores, is expanding its sales team. The company has hired two new senior directors of sales, Tom Boldt and Dennis Jensen, who will help accommodate Acumera’s growing client base across the U.S.

Boldt, based in San Diego, Calif., will be responsible for bringing Acumera’s secure network management, cloud-based aggregation of site and system status and reliable machine-to-cloud connections to new customers in the Western U.S.

Jensen, based in Minneapolis, will focus on supporting convenience store executives and their information technology (IT) teams in the Northern U.S. with bringing key devices in their retail operations into a single, integrated platform that is compliant with stringent security standards.

According to Tom Yemington, vice president of sales and marketing at Acumera, the company is enjoying strong growth, and the addition of Boldt and Jensen will augment Acumera’s ability to connect with and serve more customers. “The recent expansion of our sales team gives Acumera the opportunity to develop new relationships and continue to provide our growing customer base with PCI-compliant trusted connection services that get things connected, keep them connected and enhance information security,” said Yemington. “Boldt and Jensen collectively bring more than 40 years of diverse experience to our sales team, which will support our continued growth in new products, services and customers from coast to coast.”

Prior to joining Acumera’s sales force, Boldt worked with Spacenet for 11 years in various senior sales and program management positions. There, he managed and re-signed network contracts with enterprise customers including Valero Energy, Microsoft, Pacific Gas & Electric and the New York Police Department. Boldt also opened and managed a sales and support office for Spacenet in San Diego, and developed and sold the first large scale hybrid DSL/satellite network to Boston Market with installations at more than 300 restaurants. He plans to leverage his sales and management experience to serve key new accounts in the retail convenience store and restaurant markets.

Boldt has more than 25 years of experience in technology sales and support, working with a diverse customer base including the oil and gas, telecommunications and retail industries in the U.S., as well as Europe, Japan and Australia. Boldt received his Bachelor of Science degree in applied science and engineering from the California Institute of Technology.

Jensen brings a strong communications and IT background to Acumera, working as a sales manager for several publishing companies across the U.S. and Europe, including Capital Cities/ABC Diversified Advertising GmbH, Chilton Publishing Chilton/Cahners Publishing and Penton Media. He acquired his technical experience as director of sales and marketing for Real Time Enterprises, focusing on Linux and open source solutions. Jensen also worked with clients to solve key technical issues, which strengthens his ability to serve and support Acumera customers with strategic IT challenges.

Jensen has more than 17 years of diverse experience in areas including establishing partnerships, alliances and special corporate relationships, and influencing company pricing philosophy and marketing positioning. Jensen received his Bachelor of Arts degree in French with a minor in advertising from University of Wisconsin Eau Claire.
