Store to undergo renovations this fall.
NOCO Express, a family-owned and locally-operated gasoline convenience store chain, has purchased the Mobil Mart located at 585 Elmwood Avenue, at the corner of Lexington Avenue in Buffalo, N.Y. The store is now open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Both the canopy and store will remain Mobil branded.
As part of the acquisition, NOCO will be renovating the 2,200 square foot store to provide it with an overall update, including the addition of a full-service Tim Horton’s and expanded product offerings. NOCO’s exclusive Nickel City Foods fresh offerings will also be available.
“We are excited to take ownership of our second Elmwood Avenue Mobil Mart in less than six months,” said Jim DeFilippis, general manager, NOCO Express. “Once completed, these renovations and new offerings will provide a fresh new look and more of the products that today’s on-the-go customers expect from their local convenience store.”
NOCO has retained all 15 associates from the Elmwood & Lexington Mobil Mart, and has hired an additional 15 employees between both Tim Horton’s and Mobil. In May, NOCO acquired and renovated the Mobil Mart located at 1137 Elmwood Avenue, at the corner of Forest Avenue.
The company operates 36 NOCO Express convenience stores throughout the region.
