Over the past year, Cumberland Farms has donated more than $100,000 to support local organizations across the Northeast.
Cumberland Farms has named Hopewell Junction’s Beekman Athletic Club as the beneficiary of a month-long fundraiser.
The convenience store retailer’s donation will provide important financial support for the community’s youth-oriented baseball and softball programs throughout the upcoming season.
For four weeks beginning on Wednesday, March 20, Cumberland Farms will donate 20 cents from every Chill Zone beverage, brewed tea and coffee (iced or hot) purchased at its newly remodeled store at 2447 Route 55 in Hopewell Junction, N.Y. directly to the Beekman Athletic Club. Cumberland Farms aims to raise at least $1,000 for the community.
“We are very appreciative of this donation from Cumberland Farms,” said Beekman Athletic Club President Phil Toombs. “We are preparing to kick off our spring sports program in just a few weeks, so this opportunity comes at a perfect time. Cumberland Farms’ generosity is helping us make our youth programs available to hundreds of children throughout the area.”
“Cumberland Farms is proud to serve the Hopewell Junction community,” said Ari Haseotes, president of the Cumberland Farms Retail Division. “We are very pleased to see the town rallying for its children and providing them with a safe and fun outlet in which they will learn how to be true team players.”
