Company plans to expand program into neighboring states.
Gulf Oil, the nation’s fastest growing branded marketer of energy products, announced that its Gulf Electricity services, which earlier launched in Connecticut, Maine and Massachusetts in 2012, are now available to New Hampshire residential and commercial customers.
The expansion of Gulf Electricity into New Hampshire is part of the company’s ongoing strategy to diversify its energy offerings and provide the marketplace with cost-effective, efficient energy options.
Gulf Electricity is providing New Hampshire residential and small business customers currently serviced by PSNH the opportunity to enjoy double digit savings on the energy portion of their power bills by switching to Gulf. Compared to PSNH, the savings could be as much as 22% annually, and even more for residents who use higher-cost third party providers. This means that the typical electricity customer in New Hampshire could save approximately $190 or more on a yearly basis.
“Granite State residents already know and trust Gulf’s brand name from our 110 year history. When customers sign up to receive Gulf Electricity, they know they are signing on with a century old, reliable company committed to providing excellent customer service and competitive rates,” said Gulf Oil’s Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer Rick Dery. “We are very excited to be entering the New Hampshire market, and look forward to providing rock solid savings to thousands of people throughout the State.”
“Gulf’s move into the electricity marketplace is a natural complement to our existing businesses. Our expertise in sourcing and distributing energy efficiently enables us to give consumers the opportunity to receive savings from a respected and trusted supplier,” said Gulf Oil President Ron Sabia.
In the coming months Gulf Electricity plans to announce continued expansion into additional markets, including Rhode Island and New York.
