Maker of world-famous cinnamon rolls to meet prospective franchisees in Baton Rouge Sept. 18.
Cinnabon Inc. plans to rapidly beef up its presence in the Bayou State by opening four mall-based franchise bakeries in the coming months.
Cinnabon currently has two Express bakeries inside Schlotzsky’s Restaurants in Alexandria and Lafayette, but the new locations would mark the only full bakery franchises in the state. Cinnabon is currently seeking franchisees to develop bakeries in the following malls in Louisiana:
— Mall of Louisiana — Baton Rouge, La.
— Acadiana Mall — Lafayette, La.
— Pecanland Mall — Monroe, La.
— Prien Lake Mall — Lake Charles, La.
“It’s unbelievable that Cinnabon has such heightened brand awareness in Louisiana yet we do not even have traditional mall-based bakeries in the state,” said Kat Cole, president of Cinnabon. “The franchising opportunity in Louisiana represents one of Cinnabon’s largest untapped markets.”
The Cinnabon brand’s real estate team has pre-qualified the sites, meaning they match foot traffic and size requirements for a Cinnabon bakery and are ready for immediate development. Additionally, Cinnabon executives have leveraged their relationships with mall owners to pre-negotiate attractive lease agreements on behalf of prospective franchise candidates.
Cinnabon seeks relationships with highly motivated, local prospects with business, and preferably restaurant, experience. Interested candidates are invited to attend a Discovery Award Day event on Sept. 18, 2013 at the Marriott Baton Rouge in Baton Rouge, La., to learn more about the franchise opportunity and meet one-on-one with company executives.
