Nice N Easy Grocery Shoppes has proudly partnered with the central New York (CNY) Ronald McDonald House.

President and CEO John MacDougall announced his generous pledge of $250,000 to Ronald McDonald House Charities of central New York.  The Welcome Center in the new CNY Ronald McDonald House is named the “Nice N Easy Grocery Shoppes’ Welcome Center.” The Welcome Center is located at the main entrance in the new House.  Guest families are greeted by sympathetic, friendly volunteers and staff who welcome them to the “home away from home.” 

According to MacDougall, “The CNY Ronald McDonald House has a special place in the hearts of many at Nice N Easy Grocery Shoppes.  Some of our employees have had to utilize the House in the past, and we found it necessary to help in the building of the organization’s new home.  For over 33 years, Nice N Easy Grocery Shoppes has taken pride in supporting our communities.  And now we are proud to give others the opportunity to use the CNY Ronald McDonald House and keep their sick children and their families together.”

Ronald McDonald House Charities of CNY operates the CNY Ronald McDonald House 24 hours a day, year-round as a “home away from home” for families whose children are hospitalized with serious illnesses or injuries. For just $20 a night per family, the CNY Ronald McDonald House provides the convenience of a comfortable room and warm bed, a home-cooked meal, and support and compassion.  A new, larger and fully-accessible Ronald McDonald House was recently built in Syracuse that allows the organization to help keep even more families with seriously ill children together.
