7-Eleven has rebranded its Speedy Stops acquisition, and is open for business in Rio Grande Valley, the Monitor Online reported.
On Dec. 31 2012, 7-Eleven acquired 143 Speedy Stops and Tiger Mart retail locations from Victoria-based C.L. Thomas Inc.
In addition to rebranding the locations under the 7-Eleven banner, “Angelina’s Tacos Caseros” has replaced Tacos Frescos at some of those locations.
In all, 7-Eleven now has 14 franchise locations in the Rio Grande Valley.
Company spokeswoman Margaret Chabris told the Monitor Online that 7-Eleven has no immediate plans to add more stores in the Valley, as it’s plenty busy fully integrating its recent acquisitions. She added the chain is “always on the lookout for great locations in areas where we already do business.”
