Hunt Brothers Pizza is bringing back its highly popular buffalo chicken pizza twice in the same year.
The spicy specialty pizza quickly becomes a fan favorite when it’s added to menus during limited-time promotional events. Because of consumer demand on social media, Hunt Brothers Pizza has sped up the return of the buffalo chicken pizza to mid-October.
“Buffalo chicken pizza is our most anticipated limited-time product offering every year,” said Keith Solsvig, vice president of marketing for Hunt Brothers Pizza. “In March, we decided to have a little fun by introducing an animated character that is part buffalo and part chicken on our Facebook page and ramping up the passion for buffalo chicken pizza within our community.”
The March campaign launched on the Hunt Brothers Pizza Facebook page and introduced the audience to two hunters searching for an unknown species created by Hunt Brothers Pizza. Consumers were encouraged to participate in bringing buffalo chicken pizza back by sharing the animated videos within their social networks.
“Our customers shared the video over 1,000 times across social networks,” said Solsvig. “We were blown away with our customers’ response. Their commitment and love for the limited time offer pizza is the reason we wanted to bring it back to c-stores for the second time this year.”
Buffalo chicken pizza includes 100% all natural white meat chicken topped with a mixture of ranch dressing, buffalo sauce and mozzarella and Monterey jack cheese, all on Hunt Brothers Pizza’s original crust.
