The agreement reaffirms Del Monte’s commitment to strong ethical sourcing standards.

Del Monte Fresh Produce N.A. Inc. has announced that one of its subsidiaries agreed to join the Coalition of Immokalee Workers’ (“CIW”) Fair Food Program. 

As Del Monte joins the CIW, it joins many of the U.S.’ largest retailers and restaurants who participate in the Fair Food Program.

“We are pleased to join the Fair Food Program and continue our commitment to strong ethical sourcing standards, which ensures that the products we sell are produced in a way that provides fair treatment for the workers in our supply chain.  Our participation in the Fair Food Program demonstrates our commitment to improve the lives of the workers in our Florida fields and to the Florida tomato industry as a whole,” said Paul Rice, senior vice president NA operations.
