Tedeschi paves the way for fresh produce in the convenience store.
Following months of research and careful planning, Tedeschi Food Shops is now offering more selection and higher quality fresh fruits and vegetables to its customers through its new Fresh Produce Program.
Features of the produce program include a new ordering system and a new supplier who packs the produce in smaller pack sizes. Working directly with a produce wholesaler, and delivering product to stores three times a week will enable Tedeschi’s to offer great prices and fresh produce to customers every day of the year.
Strawberries, Blueberries, Personal Size Watermelons, Cantaloupes, Corn, Fall Squash, Pumpkins and Clementine’s are some of the seasonal items to be featured in larger volume stores. Core offerings will include bananas, apples, oranges, lettuce, celery, potatoes and onions, to name just a few. Tedeschi’s is passionate about its produce with a dedication to freshness and quality. The retailer takes pride in offering a variety of fresh foods, including fresh produce, making it a convenient alternative to the grocery store.
Established in 1923 in Rockland, Mass., Tedeschi Food Shops Inc. operates 191 convenience store locations in both Massachusetts and New Hampshire.
