Sinclair Announces PetroZone Mobile Commerce Platform

sinclairLogo“With our Sinclair-branded mobile payment app, we’ll provide consumers with a personalized experience at the pump and in our retail stores,” says Sinclair spokesperson.

Sinclair Oil Corp., is set to deploy the PetroZone Mobile Commerce Platform at its annual distributors’ conference in Sun Valley Idaho. This will allow Sinclair distributors to access PetroZone at over 1,400 Sinclair branded stations across 19 states.

PetroZone, provided by P97 Networks Inc., will enable a new Sinclair-branded mobile payments application to help consumers locate and navigate to Sinclair gas stations, initiate fuel purchases from the privacy and security of their automobile, and receive location based digital offers and rewards for fuel and in-store purchases for participating merchant convenience stores.

“Sinclair has always placed high value on the consumer experience at our branded stations,” said Jack Barger, vice president of marketing and supply for Sinclair Oil Corp. “With our Sinclair-branded mobile payment app, we’ll provide consumers with a personalized experience at the pump and in our retail stores, including location based promotional offers and new loyalty programs delivered securely and conveniently to their mobile phone or connected car applications.”

Barger also said, “Our selection of P97’s cloud based PetroZone platform is also highly strategic as it will provide Sinclair with a new and modern Microsoft Dynamics AX-based point of sale platform which will support the global EuroPay, MasterCard and Visa (EMV) chip cards and marketing platform which enables real-time digital offers from consumer package goods companies and financial settlement across Sinclair’s payment network.”

“We are very excited about this opportunity to work with Sinclair Oil,” said Donald Frieden, president and CEO of P97 Networks. “By adding the PetroZone platform to its strategic marketing initiatives, Sinclair is increasing their brand value for both distributors and consumers with new mobile and point of purchase technologies.”

Sinclair is headquartered in Salt Lake City. The corporation markets fuel in 19 states, supplying fuel to over 1,400 branded stations.
