The five-member YEO board of directors will help set educational sessions and roundtables specifically for the convenience store industry’s young executives and next-generation leaders.
The National Advisory Group’s (NAG) Young Executives Organization (YEO) is pleased to announce that Garet Bishop, Business Analyst, BFS Cos. in Morgantown, W.Va., and Dana Moloney, Manager of Information Technology, Warrenton Oil Co. in Warrenton, Mo., have joined the board of directors for a two-year term.
“As the convenience store and petroleum industry continues to evolve, training the next generation leaders of tomorrow is more important than ever before,” said John Lofstock, Executive Director of the National Advisory Group. “NAG relaunched YEO in 2012 to help young executives have a group that is solely focused on exchanging personal experiences with peers in their age group.”
YEO’s mission is to cultivate young talent in the convenience store and petroleum industry through implementation of education and networking. YEO accomplishes this mission by leveraging the experience of NAG members to help foster superior leadership skills.
Developing Industry Leaders
In their roles on the board, Bishop and Moloney will help lead the educational component for YEO members as well as help recruit and integrate new members into the YEO network.
“NAG’s YEO provides young professionals the opportunity to network with and learn from our peers within the industry as we develop our unique careers,” Bishop said. “The experience of others is a great asset for solving problems we may face in the future, and YEO is what brings the individual experiences together.”
YEO membership provides the ideal opportunity to become actively involved in developing real-time solutions for convenience store and petroleum marketers.
“As members of YEO, we are afforded the priceless opportunity to network with and learn best practices and cost-savings solutions from top industry leaders,” Moloney said.
By participating in YEO, members are not only afforded networking opportunities with prominent and accomplished industry leaders, but also the opportunity to observe how other members in their peer group handle the similar challenges they are embracing.
“NAG’s YEO is extremely focused on bringing great young talent together from across the country and giving them a platform to discuss the successes and struggles facing next-generation leaders throughout the convenience store and petroleum industry,” said Jared Sturtevant, YEO board chairman and director of marketing for Nice N Easy Grocery Shoppes.
The YEO five-member Board of Directors includes:
* Chairman, Jared Sturtevant, Director of Marketing, Nice N Easy Grocery Shoppes
* Alex Olympidis, Director of Operations for Family Express Corp.
