Love’s to donate to local nonprofits.
Baird, Texas residents now have a new place to purchase fuel, snacks, meals and more. The new Love’s Travel Stop, located on Interstate 20 at U.S. Highway 283, opened for business last week.
The 10,000 square foot facility is open 24 hours a day. Customers will find gourmet coffee, fresh fruit, travel items, electronics, gift merchandise, a game room and more. The travel stop also features two restaurants, Subway and Chester’s Chicken. Professional drivers can take advantage of 68 truck parking spaces and a Love’s Truck Tire Care center.
“We’re happy to provide the ‘Clean Places, Friendly Faces’ Love’s is known for to customers in Baird,” said Tom Love, founder and executive chairman of Love’s Travel Stops. “Interstate 20 is well traveled by residents, professional drivers and leisure travelers, so we’re well positioned to offer a safe place to rest and shop to a vast customer base.”
Love’s has already donated $750 to support the 2015 Baird Railhead Festival. A parade, live music, street dance and more events will take place at this year’s event on Saturday, May 16. Love’s will also present a $1,250 donation check to Baird Baseball, Inc., to help with its efforts to maintain the community’s youth baseball fields. The check will be presented at a ribbon cutting to be held at the new Love’s on Tuesday, May 19 at 4 p.m. Members of the community are invited to attend the ribbon cutting.
