Store sales aim to best position the c-store chain with its strategic goals.
As part of its annual evaluation and repositioning of its portfolio, Thorntons plans to sell eight stores, including three in Terre Haute, Ind., according to a report by WTHITV 10 News.
The company noted that the move is a step to best position Thorntons with its long-term strategic goals. Thorntons plans to continue to operate the eight stores until a buyer is located.
Current employees of the eight stores will have the opportunity to transfer to another location within the company.
Thorntons operates 182 stores in six states: Illinois, Kentucky, Indiana, Ohio, Tennessee and Florida.
