Savannah Chamber of Commerce recognizes enmarket.
Enmark Stations, which recently rebranded as enmarket, has been honored by the Savannah Area Chamber of Commerce with the Gulfstream Community Involvement Award.
The award was presented at the Savannah Area Chamber of Commerce’s annual Business Expo and Awards Banquet. Enmarket was one of eight businesses honored out of the Savannah market from a variety of categories.
Awards were based on peer nominations and recognized community leaders and companies that represent hospitality, industry and small business.
Last year, enmarket was integral in promoting local nonprofit organizations and healthy initiatives for the communities enmarket serves. As the title sponsor of the Savannah River Bridge Run, the company raised $10,000 for the Nancy N. and J.C. Lewis Cancer & Research Pavilion (LCRP) at St. Joseph’s/Candler Hospital.
Enmarket was recently honored with a National Partner Award from The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) for raising $70K last year through fundraising efforts including “Full-Service Fridays” and paper icon sales. The company has set an aggressive goal to raise $83,706 in support LLS this year.
In addition, enmarket is hosting the second annual Encourage Health Education Series. In total, Encourage Health Education Sponsors have allotted $10,000 to be awarded to area nonprofit organizations. Last year, the inaugural Encourage Health Education Series raised $7,200 for local 501c3 organizations that has a mission to improve the health of our community.
Explaining that being involved in the community is a part of the corporate culture, Houstoun Demere, vice president of enmarket, said, “We are always happy to give back to the community and make sure community members know they have the company’s support. We have been involved since day one and will continue our efforts moving forward.”
Principal sponsors of the Business Expo and Awards Banquet included City of Savannah, Comcast Business, Creative Approach, Georgia Power, Gulfstream and World Trade Center Savannah.
Other sponsors included DPR Construction, Infinity, Inc., J.L. Williamson Law Group, Advertising Specialty Services, AT&T, Georgia Southern University College of Business, Point University and Wells Fargo.
