The Pantry’s former vice president of fresh foods finds a new home at Core-Mark.
Core-Mark is welcoming Jon Bratta to its executive team as vice president of marketing.
Bratta will work from Core-Mark’s corporate headquarters in San Francisco, Calif. and report to Chris Hobson, senior vice president of sales and marketing.
In his new role, Bratta will work closely with the marketing team and provide ongoing support for training, development and management. He will be responsible for marketing programs, vendor relations and the company’s strategic initiatives of Fresh Food and Vendor Consolidation.

Having 25 years of convenience industry leadership experience, Bratta joined The Pantry (Cary, N.C.) as vice president of packaged goods before his most recent role as vice president of fresh foods. Prior to that, Bratta served 10 years with BP/ampm in various marketing roles with oversight of beverages, supply-chain, private brands and contracts.
Additionally, Bratta spent 11 years in both operations and merchandising with 7-Eleven culminating with the setup of their pilot Fresh commissary and Fresh bakery in Southern California.
